RESEARCH INTERESTS
Research interests include studying the orientation and chemistry of donor-aromatic-acceptor molecules on metal surfaces; generation and characterization of metal nanoparticles and new metal colloids; development of new surfaces for use in surface-enhanced Raman spectroscopy; nanoplasmonics; structural characterization of twisted-internal-charge- transfer conformers of donor-aromatic-acceptor molecules; and application of vibrational spectroscopy to the geosciences including carbonates in shale.
P.W. Jagodzinski has published some 50 papers and made over 70 presentations both in the U.S. and abroad. His co-workers have included 40 postdocs, graduate, undergraduate, and high school students.
